Introduction

Robert R. Gibson: National President, FLLEOA

The Former Liberian Law Enforcement Officers Association-USA (FLLEOA) represents all former Liberian law enforcement personnel that worked in various Liberian security and law inforcement agencies in the past. The Association goals and objectives are to bring together all former members living in the United States for the purpose of gathering resources to assist each other. As a result of the Liberian civil conflict that has negatively impacted every facet of the Liberian nation, former law enforcement members are no acception. With the on going proliferation of various Liberian groups coming together, FLLEOA was created to fill the the space left for those who once served in law enforcement agencies in Liberia. With the on going difficult and demanding times, many ex-Liberian law enforcement officers and their families often are faced d with personal problems that they can not handle by themselves.

FLLEOA will become the conduit through which all members or potential members can reach andlearn about one another, and thereby support each other. The Association will provide information through which members can gain access to the various social services programs available in the county and state they live. Members of FLLEOA leadership will actively engage various Liberian organizations to promote FLLEOA and its objectives so issues that affect its members can also be addressed within various Liberian forums. Through its representatives, FLLEOA will work very hard to include the particular concerns of its membership into every day discussions among Liberians as not to treate issues confronting ex-law enforcement members in isolation.
